Glad you liked the video.
Because it's a C100, not a C50 it has the older style down draft carburettor.
The needle sits in the middle of the float. Here's a link to a picture so you get what I mean http://www.witham.net.nz/wp-content/uploads/2017/01/C100-float.png
There is a tiny circlip and a spring that determines where the float starts pushing on the needle to shut off the fuel, and there are two grooves machined in the needle. I have set mine in the uppermost (so the fuel level in the bowl is highest).
I'm stumped now. What I really need is another carb to try.
