My C200 suffered the same. Spent 18 months on and off messing with the electrics.

Ran it past my old MOT tester.

"Fuel" he said. "Nah, definitely electrical" I said poo pooing him.

Got home, gave it some thought, altered the float height, ran 100% ever since.
