I had an interesting experience the other day, I was taking my C90 to the garage for an MOT. I heard some sirens behind me and saw a police car flashing his lights, so I parked up beside the road, the officer got out and proceeded to ask me my if I owned the bike and asked my name address etc. It turns out that they stopped me because I was not showing L Plates. After having found me on their data base they rode off. I was left questioning why not having a L plate would cause them to stop me?
I can only guess, they saw this old Git riding around on what they considered a Moped etc? and thought a man his age would only be riding such a bike because of not passing a motorcycle test and thought they had copped me not showing L Plates.
So my advice to you steve is put some L Plates on and you will be ok.
