Hi Harry.
I'm don't know what the pro's and cons are of clutch position, although Removing the mass of the clutch from the crankashaft would defiantely make for faster acceleration. For me, part of the identity and character of a C90 is it's semi auto clutch, after all that's why they are sometimes refered to as crunchies. Keeping the clutch primary, means I can fit original C90 clutch covers, which I like too.
