Sometimes things go so blooming awkwardly that it makes me laugh...like tonight.
So earlier tonight, I decided to swap out the clutch on Big Mig. All started well, exhaust off, footpegs off, kick start off, clutch cover off, clutch off, piece of cake. On with the Lifan 125 clutch...nuts the primary gear on the back of the clutch is too small for the large gear mounted on the gearbox. No problem, swap the primary gears. Yippee, clutch on, stop and admire components removed for new engine....wait, what’s this, arrhhh dam it the cush drive in the large gear has had it (lots of back lash). Fortunately a search in the shed rewarded me with a good replacement. Back to Big Mig, gonads, it starts to rain, quickly put clutch cover back on, tighten screws into Chinese cheese crank cases, bollocks! Thread strips out of one of the dowel positions (the holes with less thread). It starts to rain heavier, cover back off, drill, tap, helicoil, cover back on. Finish job in pouring rain lol.
