thats the problem PeterR. It was what you were told and they expect you to believe the crap they come out with.
I got done for speeding (similar speed to you in my car) about 18 months ago and the copper gave me the same old spiel about insurance. When I said 3 points made no difference he didn`t like it got a bit shirty and was a bit of an arse ! I don`t like to wind coppers up as its best to just say yes and no and be a good boy but I can`t stand bull sh*t !
£75 for a speed awareness course, time off work, having to swallow their spin and a lot of inconvenience or £60 fine for 3 points. I know what I did !
the majority of speed traps have absolutely NOTHING to do with road safety and EVERYTHING to do with easy money.
