Boo - that's what I'm tending towards - too tight.

However, I've always followed the manuals to the letter on slack. It was only when I let it have an overly generous and exceeded ever so slightly over 1" play, that the stretching of the early years slowed to a crawl, and hardly ever needed the excess slack taken up.

But initially in the early years it was stretching continually like elastic
- hence my thought that maybe more slack than the manuals advise might be better for 250+ pounds riders.
