Yep Nige, that is what I found, the Lifan 110 is slightly down on a c90 in BHP terms. I found a range of figures. But as Diesel says there should be more torque out of a Lifan 110 as it has a bigger bore 52.4mm against the C90's 47mm. Both engines have 49.5mm stroke.

I have a Lifan 110 now so there is no rush to rebuild the C90 engine, but it definitely needs a new piston and a rebore so I might try to get the bore up to 50mm and a 4 speed gearbox definitely seems to be a good idea.
