Sure. If you don't have a pot to piss in then being sued is likely to hold no fear for you. It won't affect you much but the same can't be said for your victim.
If you own your own house or got a few bob's then you might well lose it all in litigation.
The problem I have personally is that with ag we're running a site promoting events. I don't want the complication of someone on dodgy insurance attending and bringing down the pack, however it happens. It could be something as unforseen as a blow out. Shit happens.
If you ride alone, chances are you'll never be touched by trouble. Attending meets and riding in a pack, I think makes it quite possible.
I think if you're riding in company, you really ought to endeavour to be completely legit.

Not cheap, but could save you a few bob's in the long run.
