Hi All. Last thing I'm looking for now is the old type sturmey archer gear change that was mounted on the crossbar. The trigger on the handlebars is so obviously a much later addition. There have been three on ebay recently but a good one is 45 quid. I've changed the rear sprocket from 18 to 22 teeth. Five minute job and the gearing is much better. Larger sprockets are possible. One thing that you wouldn't expect is that 26x1 1/2 tyres are an inch bigger wheel diameter than 26x1.5 tyres. Agreed that the high vantage point is ideal for spotting parachutists. 1940s weekend in Ingleton today. All roads closed for big battle on market square at 12. Barmaids looking very nice in dresses last night. Guns and GI's everywhere.
