good closed foam airmat is worth its weight etc. Piling heavy bike kit on a well lofted sleeping bag will compress it, and not help very much.
Get a good wooly hat, pull the drawstring down tight around your mouth and wear thermals, norgies are ace, and cheap. fleecy gloves help, and one of the old school carbon stick burner heaters in its proper drawstring bag at the bottom of the sleeping bag will stop your tootsies freezing.
Snugpak artic grade bags really work well, even if damp, better than down in our climate
