- I've always understood that you can start and run a Cub with a dead battery which I think we've all had (unwanted) experience of - but that you must always, always, leave the 'dead' battery in situ if you intend running the Cub.

Ahh so that's the reason why - blowing all the bulbs. Any other damage likely if run with the battery removed?
