Harry if you thinking of buying one I should be more specific. When I say it fits on the front disk I do not mean like a disc lock does. The shackle is too thick to fit through a disk air hole, I have it wrapped round one of the support struts for the disk which would stop the wheel turning more half a revolution. When you fit it it beeps once to say it is armed. After movement is detected it beeps 3 times waits 10 seconds for you to unlock it and then if not unlocked it lets slip the dogs of war and all hell breaks loose, sonicallly. There is no rubber sealing washer on the battery compartment so I made one out of a flat sided plastic shampoo bottle. I think it is worth having so long as you understand the limitations.
It would be better if it was part of something like the Oxford circular which I don't htink can be cut with boltcutter. Something like
The one I got is Alarm Padlock
