Mud flap does help if you run out in all weathers & year but just rubs on the under cowl , the Honda racks are prone to stress cracks on the injection model bars and weld joints !

! I have welded mine up several times now and has solid round bar inserts welded inside the tubing bendy bit's with an extra centre mod attached to the grab rail for good measure !

! it also gets rid of the under supports .
Mind you if you only carried @ 3kg max load as recommended !

! but I tend to carry a little extra baggage sometimes !
