Hi I have a 1994 cub 90 recently had new barrel and piston, and just changed the noisy cam chain rollers and head for a later roller bearing camshaft one.
Its running ok a lot quieter than old head and rattly chain, tensioner wheels etc but I cannot get the tappets set right...
On the old head its 0.05mm for inlet and exhaust and so thought set this up the same but at 0.05mm its very loud tappety noise that after a few miles drives you barmy and makes you head back home, anyway after messing around with it today i waited till it was stone cold then re set the gaps to 0.03mm its a whole lot better but once fully warmed it still has that annoying tappet rattle if slightly less audible.
I really don't know what to do thought the new head would be great and it is other than tappets spoil the sound of the engine at its best ....
