not sure what your problem is, but you should be getting at least 80 miles to a tank full. think you must have a leak somewhere as at that rate i would have thought the engine would be flooding like mad and would not run. cheak again for leaks have a good sniff you should be able to smell leaking petrol take care mate you could be riding a "BOMB" year and model would help with diagnosis.
