I think I can rule out the carb as it has exactly the same problem with a second carb on the bike which came off a bike that was running perfectly.
The carb has a new O-ring on the bottom of the carb that seals to the spacer.
Spacer to head has a ring of instant gasket so I think that there can be no air leaks.
The spark plug has an orange spark now instead of the bright blue one and was arcing off the head. Changed the plug and it was fine then ran it for a minute took it out and it was orange again so it looks like whatever it is is killing the plugs.
What is the symptoms of a bad condenser apart from arcing across the points?
