If the loss claimed for was hers and hers alone, the litigation will die with her.
If the loss affected her children/family/partner/any other party affected they could pursue.
If you had run her over, she started a claim, then died, and had been caring for her elderly mother, you might face a claim from her mother for care costs incurred as a result of losing her carer.
The only thing you have to worry about alan, is your head. Look after it, and don't think too deeply.
