Sorry to hear about the unlucky end of your townmate Kebob. I've had a couple of bikes disappear like that, and it stings doesn't it? Even my 2cv was stolen once, but the buggers couldn't work it out, and only got about 10 yards with it!
The rear arch of my townmate had a bit of surface rust, and a bit of someone else's paint here and there, so I've just spent the afternoon exploring it's insides, and I'm chuffed to bits to find it absolutely solid throughout!
And now I've got 28-odd year's worth of built-up mud out of the arch, I'm going to treat it to a treatment. Any recommendations? Waxoil? Underseal? I underseal the floor of the 2cv every autumn, and I still keep putting my foot through it.
