40 - 45 is much better IMHO, for engine long life.
My 1991 cub has covered over 40,000 now with trips to Paris & Belgium.
It will last longer at these speeds.
As a few have said on here in the past they were built for Economy NOT speed....
If you are screwing it everywhere , its time to get something bigger....
