I put that bl**dy battery on, poured a bit of petrol in the tank and let it run through the carb, turned on the ignition and BINGO! He started first kick. He's been standing down there untouched for just over two years. Tried the lights and indicators and they all worked. There's only one minor thing, the brake light is on all the time. When I looked it appears that the rear brake is adjusted right up tight, no play, but as I'd only gone down there with a screwdriver that can wait until another day.
