Once again...one of these kinda things, In 2008 did a deal a trader with a gorgeous GSXR750K2 that had been confiscated by the police for no insurance, so it was bought cheaply, yada yada....once documents were in place it was for sale, so, i'm in York and the buyer is in Aberdeen and works 'on the rigs' and flies down to meet his Humberside oil-worker mate who is a 'bike expert' and gives him a lift even though he has a prepaid bank draft to ride it home.....
The Scottish lad knew what he was buying, and it was a peach of a bike, but the mate said.....the starter doesn't work (pull the clutch in you d-head was my reply).....but it got better, he told me the carbs needed balancing....and i said to him "if you can find a set of carbs on that bike he can ride it away for free, it's fuel injected"....anyway, Scottish lad apologised for the d-head and went very fast home to Aberdeen on his new toy and probably never spoke to his mate again.....
