To my mind, eficiency / economy doesn't only involve mpg.

Surely consideration must be given to longevity, ease of maintenance, cost of spares and or repairs.

I'll lay odds that in the future, we won't be seeing 30+ year old Innovas and other plastic scooters running around. (not to say it isn't great at what it does)

I for one wouldn't swap an as new Acadiane for a Citroen fresh from the showroom and expect to keep it on the road for 40 years or more. eh Klippy?

Vehicles today are seen as disposable and built down to a price.
