Bogger -
I had a Burgman 200 for about 3 years, about 9 years ago now, as a knock-about scoot when I had the big bikes.
It was a hoot to ride, surprisingly stable for a tiddly-wheeled thing (I think that was because of the looooong wheelbase).
Bloody heavy, but kept the weight well low.
I think there's a higher/wider screen for it, which I'd recommend if your'e gonna ride it in rainy UK.
Very comfy riding position, and well good for 2-up riding.
Needs a big top box, as the under seat storage whilst good, ain't enough for shopping etc.
Very reliable, and easy enough to self-service.
Good build quality, and enough of them around now for long enough for there to be lots of spares etc on ebay too.
The bigger Burgmans are VERY popular over here in Spain; there are loads of the 400's and even more of the 650 ones - which loads of Spanish riders use for national & international touring on - they can really move and look uber-comfy.
If I got to the point where I couldn't handle a geared big bike any more, I'd seriously consider summat like that as an alternative.
