When I cleaned out the carb, they were unscrewed and air blown through them.

Held them up to the light and could see clearly through the pin holes, both.

They both looked in good nick also.

I had to re-adjust the idle again after tonight's commute as the engine is cutting dead again at idle.

I also noticed when changing into second gear and pulled on the throttle, the engine seemed to be less responsive!

Whilst searching on eBay under C90 carb, I have noticed several items that are bakelite insulator for the carb/manifold.

I do not have this on my bike. Since I have had the bike, there has been two very thin 'spacers' between the carb and the manifold.
Maybe these two spacers are past it????

Should I have one of these bakelite insulators on it please?
