I've had similar running issues in the past and it's been down to fuelling (NOTE! For The Attention Of >> HARRY>> Pre-contaminated days I'm talking here<<

). Remove the carb Dan and strip it down and clean out thoroughly, removing both jets and poking them through (with due care) with a single bristle of a wire brush. Second, unscrew the 17mm head on the petrol tap, remove the plastic gauze filter and clean thoroughly, reassemble and I reckon all should be well again.
