So spent this afternoon striping the bugger down what a pain in the arse so many fixings and panels to get off to get at the head race bearings. I eventually got to getting the folks off the bearings were full of dry grease and road salt and dirt so took everything off and got the camp stove out and boiled in diesel. After cleaning all the bearings and all the bits and bobs refitted with lots of copper grease which seems to have done the trick. On to the throttle got it all apart to find out what's sticking yet again another major job as to get the twist grip out and get the cable out the whole of the handle bar cowl has to come off and when you do this it disconnects the auto lube cable and the other cable that goes to the carb so once thats off you have to take the slide out of the carb to get it back on again. At my wits end by now and find the problem the throttle twist grip has a burr on the side and it s rubbing on the inside of the guide so out with the file and rub it off and refit. Just ordered the shocks so get them on and put it all back together and now ive just got to get it back to the the testing station. After taking it all apart i must say its been put together very well and by taking it apart its raised my opinion of it But it was supposed to be a day of getting the clown bike ready for France but never mind im sure it will be okay
