You can stand by for an avalanche of advice from all the board's experts, many of whom spend most of their time installing a variety of Chinese engines into C90 frames. By and large, most of us favour the post 1977 12volt square headlamp C90 Cub. Spares are readily available and provided that rust (particularly around the rear suspension area ) has been kept at bay, they have a legendary reputation for reliability combined with good performance.
Many of the old 6volt models you will find will need a great deal of work and expense to make them roadworthy.
