Great post Neil, good to see you back on form!
Great post as usual, makes good sense to me and sounds plausible.and I wonder how long you been sitting on these little gems!
There's been much banter about the 6volters, ateotd thats all it is really, banter. They're older than the 12v, so likely folk will encounter more probs with them anyways.
Experience within our household with the 6v engines, which was limited to James' CT90, wasn't good sadly. I wonder if the info would have helped? I do have a zz awaiting fitment of a 6v engine, daresay I'll run it for a bit and see how it goes, will deffo follow the advice on the dipstick.
As for oil coolers, again experience in our household, James not mine, are experiencing the hoses leaking and blowing off, which tempers the (undoubted) benefit wit an element of unreliability>
