Hi Dave & Fuzz,
Thanks for that, I have swapped the tensioner plunger and the spring (I had one from a pit bike) but it made no difference.
I have now investigated a bit further and found the cam chain seems to have a large variance in the length over a rotation. Also I'm not sure I should see oil going everywhere (there doesn't seem to be much pumping about).
Camchain this shows the extent of the movement. Just wondering now whether to order another chain, or if it could be a worn sprocket. Or whether the Oil pump requires investigation.
