22 miles a day, most of it at 40+ and some of it on the stop" when uphill.

It's a fast A road and I have little alternative regarding the route to work.

I'm getting around 90mpg, have lowered the carb needle one notch, this has helped the engine rev out a little easier.

My first question is, will it be worthwhile dropping a tooth on the back sprocket to ease the stress on the engine?

It has developed a few weeps on the head and intake manifold ( it has been in store for a while before being pushed into service,and the last two weeks have been pretty much a shake down run.

Second question..do I accept that the bike is not quite up to the task / route that I've put it to.
