Hi Harry. I've wondered that myself. My knowledge of what happens with standard and high performance coils with Cub90 flywheels is based on me trying them out whilst pointing a timing light at the flywheel and a clamp on tacho on the HT lead whilst watching what happens when I increase the revs. I've not tried this with pit bike flywheels because I try not to use them since snapping the end off my Wuyang crank which was possibly down to poor balancing. Logic says it would do the same thing, only the total advance from the trailing edge of the blob to the leading would be less. I'm not sure which end of the timing they chopped off though; less advance at high revs, or more advance at low revs. Sorry, I can't be more helpfull.
