C90 Heavy Oil Useage Part 2

Finally got round to putting the magnetic sump plug on Monday this week. Had a 40 mile run Tuesday, checked on today and it had used a fair amount of oil, probs half way on dipstick. So getting peed of with it. Also I have been told that it has a worn valve. Another thing to note is that it seems quite oilly on the top cover, so wondered if it is leaking a bit there. Never any oil on floor after or before a run. Any ideas folks.
