That reminds me of something James.

Many years ago I broke the throttle cable on my very high mileage/knackered CM200.

Untied both laces, connected one end to the duff end of the cable going into the carb, 'tother I connected to a now empty boot lace hole.

Drove/rode just like a car, foot goes down, bike accelerates.

Then I came to set of lights..................fell off as the bike went the wrong way and then as the bootlace tightened the bike took off sideways up the road with my boot as it pulled it off my foot.

Still we live and learn.

My mate tried a similar approach but tied the lace to his chinpiece of a full face helmet........
