I have located a company close to where I live that will remove 2/3 of the original foam and replace it with a softer foam.They say that the seat will be close to the original thickness and will look the same as the original.You have to book the seat in,and I can take my seat in on the 23 April and collect it on the 24th.The cost will be no more than £30.This company specialise in motor cycle seats so they should know what they are doing.Thanks for all the advice and I will let you know how I get on.
