hi nige. before the last matlock trip i fitted a new chain, and because i didnt want to take a link out of it i went for 16/39. on the matlock bimble i was having to thrash the t*ts of it to keep up, acceleration no differant to 15/36. but over about 3/4 throtle yes there is a noticable differance,so went back to 15/36 it cruises a lot nicer and will creep up to 60mph if i let it, and better up the hills cause i can change down earlier and keep the bugger reving.
