Can't fault Diesels diagnosis of your problems Aly,but for 3 I would try adjusting the clutch first before any major work,although if you have to change the clutch plates this will involve adjustment.I have a 110 Lifan engine in my 90 and when kick starting the clutch does slip as you describe although it has never had car oil in it.You can "kick" too stongly,try strocking the lever down moe gently.
