Is it me or the bike?

Hi all took my newly aquired C90 out for the 1st time the other day and seemed to have some issues:
1. when kick starting seems to be slipping have to kick it a few times for it to start
2. when finally started keeps cutting out even when warm
3. when riding seems to stick in 2nd gear have to really stamp on it to change it
4. pulls well in 2nd when in 3rd and when on slight incline it bags out wont go over 30 (i'm 16 stones:))

is it me or are all C90s the same, any suggestions or tips please?
