It's the first/i] visit after the oil pump, and only for about a third of the oil, on its way to the camshaft and rockers.
The other two thirds of the volume go from the oil pump out into the clutch cover. then via the centrifugal filter down the middle of the crankshaft, going nowhere near the cooler.
Of course both paths mix back together in the sump.
