Honda Vision 110

I have just read that according to Honda the new Vision 110cc will do 140mpg, which is about the same as the Innova, also it has a top speed of 55mph.
I know that it’s a 4 stroke & has 14” wheels. But as the inefficiency is compromised by the cooling fan & variable transmission it I would like to know how Honda has managed it.
This seems a far cry from the many 50cc 2 stroke scooters which we have hired in the Greek Some times 2 up they have only done 50mpg.
The Vision is priced quite competitively at £1800 (£1600 pre-registered. Not bad for a top quality machine when you look at the prices which are being advertised for some of the similar far eastern bikes of questionable heritage.
