Thanks for your advice lads.I've raked the original loom out of the shed,but sadly the label has been mostly torn off,so I can't get any clue from that.Luckily, I've got the historic tax 'cos it's first registered in '72 
Diesel,is that just a lucky guess that it's a '63? Danny K; will that work at any Honda dealer? Newt,if I join the H.O.C,won't it cause annoyance if I turn up with a Wuyang C100(if so,I'm in
