It sounds as though it is an electrical problem rather than fuel (presumably you have checked the fuel filter and supply line). John's suggestion of a dodgy coil sounds plausible, though it's a pretty unusual fault. It might be worth changing the plug cap. Some of the old Honda ones (especially those dreadful metal-cased ones) used to break down and cause a lot of misfiring at higher revs.
