The "little drain pipe thingy" is an air box drain. Yes you should empty it regular, it tends to get full even when not raining on mine???

Tip from Vic from Leeds is to remove the metal clamp altogether so you can then take off plastic thingy easily without tools to empty regular-the plastic thingy will not fall off during riding as its a tight fit anyway.

I have a carb innova 2003 and can do air filter and plug without removing any bodywork (I took bottom valence off permanently to increse ground clearance).
I'm not sure if Injected models are same.
Can we have some of you Spanish weather please
