I keep thinking about this one. Trouble is, if you fit the nipple on the brake pedal end you would have to remove the exhaust to get a gun on it. If you fit it to the other end the split pin will get in the way. One idea is to plug the pedal end, then drill and tap a 6mm hole and fit a suitable small bolt. When you want to lubricate, remove the bolt and you could just about insert a polythene tube through which you could inject thick oil. Radial holes in the pin at the stand and brake locations would feed the lubricant through.
Another alternative might be to plug the other end with a grease nipple half an inch or so inboard of the split pin. You would then only have to remove the pin to get a gun on the nipple. Or if you preferred thick oil, drill and tap a hole as suggested above.
Any more bright ideas from anyone?
