Pete, how would you make up a replacement front brake cable from the Venhills emergency kit?

Fine for clutch cables.

Would you loop the cable through the trunnion at the brake arm end and fasten to itself like a Lambretta? Dodgy because the trunnion can pop out of the arm without the threaded bit keeping it safely in place.

Not having a pop, just want to know.
