Despite an earlier restoration, Sykes still had a couple of rust spots that needed addressing.

After removing the mud with the jet washer I found two large holes through to the battery compartment.

As iâ€™m sure you know, it is all too easy to â€œover restoreâ€ and loose some of that much sort after age (abuse) related patina, but you can rest assured that I wonâ€™t be falling into that trap. So a couple of bits of rusty angle iron and twenty welding rods later the job was done.
