Can't you ignore the plate and just fit 12v footpegs? I think that's what I did. You'll need to make a couple of spacers(same thickness as the adaptor brackets) to go under the front mounting lugs on the engine to make sure the pegs sit square and that's it. If you're really flash,you could use a set of pegs with a side stand incorporated too.
