Of course riding with your flip front down or in a full face means you can't see the speedo unless you tilt your head down.
Running into the back of a bus in this attitude pushes your spine into the base of your skull and your dead, faceplanting into the bus and your likely to survive if a little strange looking afterwards.
Risk assessment is all about looking for the results you want to get.
I'll bet when any comparison is done between helmet types it takes no account of the bike being ridden, full face helmets are at a completely different angle when worn on a sports bike compared to a scooter or C90.
