Radar,
following your remark that we 'Aren't all one at Rhayader, apparently' (Or words to similar effect) I'll say the following.
Rhayader is not, or ever has been, a c90club meet. It was, I'm told Prof's brainchild, prof is sadly no longer with us. (He was the 5th person to join c90club)
Subsequently it seemingly became Fuzz's event and a 'feeder' for his MildhogsM8 website.
When Rhayader comes around, you will see Fuzz is still very much at the centre of promoting Rhayader, and he does so here on CubChat, as he did on the old Cub90 site CubChat replaced.
That's great and good. C90Club have no intention of hijacking, stealing, or infringing on someone else's event. Instead we focus on arranging our own events, to which all are welcome. The more events, and the more attendees, the better.
We now have the annual Barmouth Bash, the East Anglian, The Southern Softies, The first North Essex Run, the Dol-lly set to be repeated next year, and lots going on elsewhere especially in Kent courtesy of SteveW.
We are happy to concentrate on these, and others, and not hijack Rhayader.
You will see, that when Rhayader comes up as a topic on c90club, we ask that it be promoted and discussed here, and place a link to here.
This is because with 9000 members let loose on it their natural exuberance runs away, and before long events are being arranged and discussed and decided on the thread, when they have no remit to do so. It belongs here.
I was in fact set to drop by Rhayader en route to Steve's Dol-lly bash.
In the event, Su dropped a Normandy excursion on me, and I had to fabricate some pannier brackets for that, (Thursday 16th) and that took me not only the Friday before Rhayader / Dol-lly but late into Saturday too, so I was a no show at either event.
It was good however, to see all the old faces turn out for Rhayader. It would have been good to catch up.
