I bought a C200 that someone had owned for ages but never 'Got around to doing'
Yes, guess, no frame number. No hope of getting it sorted.
After a bit of research, I got out the Nitromoors and started stripping the most likely areas.
With a jewellers loupe, I could JUST make out a number. Very, very lightly stamped.
Submitted it to DVLA, but that wasn't the end of the matter. Turned out they had the frame number as the engine number, and engine number as the frame number.
But I got there in the end.
